Dina Albassam

Dina Albassam is a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Technology from King Saud University (KSU). After graduating, she had training at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH & RC) at the Biostatistics department, where she worked on their ongoing breast cancer research project. After joining KACST, she worked on several projects: COVID-19 Chatbot for the Ministry of Health (MoH) to support them at the beginning of the pandemic, Epidemic Project where she is trying to analyze how human mobility could affect COVID-19 cases while considering the influence of population resistance (natural immunity and vaccination) over the world, furthermore, she is working on Social Dynamics project as an aim for understanding how the information is diffused throughout social networks. Her research interest falls under big data analytics in the healthcare and society field.
