Najat Alrashed is a Research Specialist at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She received her B.S. in computer and information sciences from King Saud University, where she graduated with highest honors. Her research interests include data visualization, web-based platform development, human computer interaction, and data analysis. In order to answer different research questions, she developed several platforms that tackles different domains including urban planning, transportation and much more. An example of one of her project is Moqayem platform where she developed a web-based appraisal tool that evaluates the prices of the white lands (undeveloped lands). The platform also displays several interactive statistics about the three city (Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam).
