Tarfah Alrashed

Tarfah Alrashed is currently a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) and a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Tarfah received her B.S. in computer and information sciences from King Saud University, and her M.S. in Computer Science from University of California San Diego (UCSD). Prior to that, worked as a research specialist at the Computer Research Institute at KACST, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During her Masters, Tarfah worked as a software engineer at California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), San Diego. Tarfah’s research interests fall into Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Mobile Computing, and Interactive Visualization. Her current research focuses on designing a collaborative tangible decision support system that supports collaborative interaction and decision making.
